One-Of-A-Kind
Wellness In Tucson

Founded in 2017, Tucson Wellness MD was built on one idea: bring together global knowledge and expertise to build a collaborative team for our clients. By recognizing that each individual has unique needs and requirements, we avoid a one-size-fits-all approach and instead seek solutions that are tailored to you individually. We have a team of specialized experts from various fields – biokinetics, medical and functional nutrition, functional medicine, Chinese medicine, modern medicine, and grounded science to work together and support your overall health.

Our Team is Dedicated To Your Success

Whether you’re looking to lose weight, live a pain-free life, or maximize your health, our team at Tucson Wellness MD provides the expertise, therapies, and support you need to succeed.

“Harmony is the key to Longevity. Restore harmony in the body, and flowers will grow in the place of thorns.”

Rob’s Travel Tips

I’m Rob Tatum, a researcher and entrepreneur with a background in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology, Chemistry, and Liberal Arts. My postgraduate-level work focused on evolution, and my current research centers on the GEC Nexus, the intersection of genetics, environment, and culture, exploring how these factors influence human potential.

With a global perspective, I have traveled to over 90 countries, studying diverse cultures and learning from a wide range of traditions. My work is centered on empowering individuals to unlock their full potential through evolutionary insights.

My Key Areas of Focus:
  • Genetics and Epigenetics
  • Environmental Influences on Human Development
  • Cultural and Social Factors in Human Evolution

Join our team of experts, which has taken years to assemble, as we explore the complex relationships between these factors and how they shape human potential and support long-term health goals.  You will become the architect of your longevity.

“Conventional medicine has lost touch with humanity. Thank you for taking the time to listen, perform an exam, review imaging and share your knowledge about various treatment options.”

Dr. Jon Minor, MD

Medical Director

Dr. Minor leads our team that is dedicated to your wellness and recovery. He is a fellowship-trained sports medicine physician who completed medical school and residency at Texas A&M. He completed sports medicine and musculoskeletal ultrasound fellowships at Harvard/Boston Children’s Hospital. He has been practicing sports medicine since 2015.

As the son of an orthopedist, growing up as an athlete, and becoming an avid marathoner and endurance triathlete in medical school, he enjoys working with anyone interested in beginning, returning to, or continuing to maintain an active and healthy lifestyle, whether it be a competitive activity or purely for life’s enjoyment. In addition to treating an injury, he takes particular interest in injury prevention, not only as a means of promoting sports performance but also to prevent an injury from recurring, including evaluating and managing nutrition, sleep, recovery, and body mechanics and movement.

He obtained USA Triathlon Level I coaching certification during his residency and has treated athletes at all levels. You can find him hiking or running on various trails or on the wash, riding bikes with his son, or covering various local sporting events or dance performances.

Dr. Minor understands the challenges and benefits of maintaining an active lifestyle. His primary medical interest is injury prevention as a means of promoting sports performance, including nutrition, sleep, recovery, and body mechanics.

Dr. Jennifer Howell, DO

Co-Medical Director

A native of Tucson, Arizona, Dr. Howell is a board-certified OB/GYN who earned her degree in Biological Sciences from the University of Tulsa, where she was a Division I track and field athlete. She then spent a year in service with AmeriCorps National AIDS Fund before attending medical school and residency at Oklahoma State University, where she served as Chief Resident and in 2007 earned the title of National Outstanding Resident of the Year.

In addition to full-spectrum OB/GYN, she is an expert in female hormone replacement therapy. She has also added aesthetics, peptides, and wellness to her repertoire, focusing on treating the whole body rather than individual symptoms.

Dr. Howell believes that nutrition, exercise, sleep, spirituality, and attitude are key factors in wellness and longevity. She truly enjoys getting to know her patients to help them work toward improved health and wellness.

In her free time, she finds happiness through traveling, exercise, volunteer work, and spending time with her family, friends, and rescue pit bulls.

Dr. Dan Kellams, DACM, FMP, L.Ac.

Doctor of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine

Dr. Dan Kellams grew up in southern Indiana and began his career in the sports sciences at Indiana University and the University of Louisville. He went on to earn his Doctorate of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine (DACM), specializing in integrative approaches, in 2020.

For more than a decade, Dr. Dan has practiced at the intersection of functional, integrative, and restorative medicine — as a clinician, researcher, and educator.

Dr. Dan travels the country consulting, teaching, and coaching other clinicians on autoimmunity, chronic illness, and the most difficult health cases — work that continues through Tucson Wellness. His philosophy is simple: “The power that made the body has the power to heal the body.”
